Geriatric Options



Designed to meet your goals. Participants will find these sessions to be a fun and motivational fitness experience in a non-intimidating atmosphere.

Session Format Includes:

​

  • ​Strength Training - Builds vital muscle mass and improves bone density (it is never too late to build muscle)
    ​
  • ​Cardio Endurance - Increases your body's ability to deliver oxygen and nutrients to tissues
    ​
  • ​Balance & Fall Prevention - Includes static and dynamic exercises
    ​
  • ​Barre Exercises - Improves muscle tone, balance, flexibility, and posture
    ​
  • ​Stretching - Improves and maintains flexibility, prevents injury and reduces muscle soreness and stiffness

As a Personal Trainer with a PTA license, I put great emphasis on utilizing a variety of activities/ motions, endurance and strengthening combinations.  This decreases the tendency to fall into the pitfalls of redundant activities leading to injuries.  Additionally, the combination will increase the challenge your body must overcome in order to build and progress in goals/performance.



These sessions are in view of a potential ambition or goals such as a marathon, mud run, triathlon...



  • There are options regarding your preference on setting up individual sessions or as a group as outlined in my additional service descriptions.

  • I have previously headed up a group for a three mile mud run that I would like to continue upon interest.  

*** Note: Modifications to activities will be made as each individual may require for safe progression.  I  want you to feel good on race day.  If you would like to join a group but not perform in the race, that is an option as well. 

 

Designed for in-season or off-season. They consist of plyometrics, speed, agility, quickness, functional training, medicine balls and much more. Sports specific training entails four categories in the development of an athlete – Strength, Speed, Nutrition and Functional Training. Get the competitive edge and proper training to excel in whatever sport you choose.

 

Osteoporosis is a disease in which bones become weak and brittle, which make them more prone to fractures. Osteoporosis becomes more common as we get older, especially in women following menopause. Prevent Osteoporosis with weight bearing activities, resistance training and postural enforcement workouts.  Balance exercises are also included as well as cardio.

  • Physician approval is required to begin the program.
  • The program consists of two classes a week

  •  All ages with consideration to each child's requirements.
  • Specific limitations (chronic or acute)
  • Previous injury or surgery with  expectation of continued progress with Personal Training
  • Current  Physical Therapy Requirements
  • Back Pack Assessment
  • Postural Assessment 
  • Focus on each child's Musculoskeletal deficits and imbalances at an early age. 
  • I will address imbalances along with personal training to assure that each child is performing all activities with an adiquit foundation to build on and help prevent injury
  • Primary focus is always back to core strength.
  • Limit the stress that children encounter on there backs at young ages.
  • Additional key developmental processes while considering the scope of activities and advancements per child. 
  • On-on-one attention. 

Wheelchair Body Building

If this is a dream of yours or you currently find that you have the desire to do more with your personal fitness but limitations have been an obstacle can provide the resources to assist you.  I can personally assist with the Personal Training aspect with one - on - one sessions.  I can work to help you build independence in your personal work - out routine.  I can provide the resources, feedback and direct contact with numerous  individuals that have overcome various physical limitations and in-tern experienced priceless accomplished.  Everyone has individual obstacles to overcome, these individuals I mention have put there mind to the passion of there goal and have benefited tremendously.  The additional reward is the ability to be able to share such experiences with others and assist in yet another aspect to succeed in your efforts.  ï»¿â€‹
